Florida driver pulls gun on another driver and her 12-year old child

A woman and her 12-year old child were driving in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, when she had to stop behind another car.

That's when Gerald Patrick Price, 64, apparently angry at her driving, pulled up next to her, pointed a small handgun at her and the child, then flipped her off.

She followed him, got his license, and alerted police.  He was arrested and, after he denied having a gun, a handgun was discovered in his office.

From an article:
According to a probable cause affidavit, a woman called police to say that as she and a 12-year-old passenger were heading north on Alternate A1A and Kyoto Gardens Drive, she stopped when the vehicle in front of her stopped. Then Price, who was driving a blue Nissan Maxima behind her, drove to the side of her vehicle, lowered the driver’s side window, pointed a small, black handgun at the child and then showed her his middle finger.
The woman pulled behind Price’s vehicle, jotted down his license plate number and followed him to The Gardens Mall, where he parked in the north lot near Bloomingdale’s.
When police arrived at the mall, the mall’s security director said Price was in his office.
When police questioned him about the incident, Price denied carrying a gun. After a search of his office, police found a black Beretta Tomcat 3032 in a black box.
Price worked as building director at the mall until Thursday. Michelle Jacobs, corporate director of marketing and operations at The Forbes Company, which owns The Gardens Mall, would not comment on whether Price resigned or was fired.
Jacobs said Price had worked at the mall for six years, and he was in charge of mall operations, which includes maintenance issues.

Children endangered in Utah road rage shooting incident

A case of road rage in Utah spiraled out of control near Beaver, Utah, leading one driver to shoot into the cab of another driver's car.  Children were present in both vehicles, but luckily no one was injured.  The shooter, a security guard from California, has been arrested.

From the article:
Beaver County Sheriff Cameron Noel said Jose Rosales Casas, of California, brandished a gun on I-15 south of Beaver Sunday night, and ultimately fired one shot into the cabin of another truck he claimed was trying to run him off the road. The other driver accused Casas of tailgating him, Noel said.
Noel said Tuesday it was unclear who started the road rage incident — Casas or the other driver — but neither driver appeared to back down until the shooting.
“Instead of just pulling off the road, they both had ample opportunity to exit the freeway and they chose not to do that,” Noel said.
Children were in both trucks at the time of the incident, Noel said, and it was fortunate nobody was hurt.
According to sheriff’s investigators, Casas had been working as a security guard in California and was traveling with his wife and two children to Colorado to begin work at a new job.
Noel said there were two men and a woman — all students at Utah State — traveling in the other truck. They were also with a young child.
“Regardless of the situation, we do not feel that [Casas] was justified in any way, shape or form to take that kind of action,” Noel said.
The Beaver County Attorney is screening the case.
Casas, deputies said, had marijuana in his car and was also booked for investigation of a drug possession count.
Noel acknowledged charges are possible against the people in the truck that now has the bullet hole in the side.

4-year old girl and parents threatened by gunman in road rage incident

Nevaeh Lee, age 4
Christy Lee and Marcus Bateman were driving their 4-year old daughter, Nevaeh, to school in Jonesboro, Georgia, when another driver started honking madly at them.  He then pulled up next to them and started waving a gun.  The couple turned onto another road, but met up with the same man again, who cocked his gun and aimed at them.  They escaped before the man could fire.  Officers eventually caught the gunman and pulled him over.

The man was apparently angry that the couple was driving too slow, but also claimed they had pointed a gun at him (although the couple did not have a gun and do not own one).

The gunman was 59-year-old Hiram Perrin.

Three Ohio teens shot at, one injured, by angry motorist in road rage incident

Justin Watts, targeted by shooter
Three teens, Grady Black, Kevin Bogotman, and Justin Watts, were driving on I-74 in Ohio when they had a near-collision with a red Toyata hatchback car.  The driver of that vehicle became irate, pulling up behind the teens and flashing lights.  The boys then flipped him off.  When the teens started to exit off the interstate, the driver aimed his laser-sited handgun at them and opened fire, three shots, wounding one of the teens (Kevin) in the leg.

From the article and news footage:
"He was in the right lane I was in the left lane and they flipped him off out of the window and the next thing you know he shined the laser into the car, we thought it was just a laser pointer and I hear the window shatter and I took off."
Sitting in the front passenger seat, Justin Watts was lucky the bullet hit the car door before it shattered the window. he describes what he saw and heard. "Started the laser from the front, hit me in the eyes, first shot...then second shot...DID YOU REALIZE IT WAS A LASER? I thought it was a laser pointer at first.  I didn't realize it was a gun.  I thought it was a laser pointer in my eyes and pop pop...my window blew out and we didn't think anybody got hit at first."
But someone did get hit. The bullet in the rear went through both sides of the door and then through 17 year old Kevin Boegeman's leg. "I don't know, maybe 30 seconds after it happened I said is anybody hit?  That's when Kevin said he was hit and he called his mom. We dropped him off at his house then we drove here and called the cops."
Lucky they had a story to tell... "He was getting off the exit and we were continuing on. He rolled down the window pointed the gun out, the laser came into my eyes and pop pop...that quick."
