17-year old girl injured, 19-year old man killed, in California shooting

A 19-year old young man and a 17-year old girl were in the back yard of a home in Pacoima, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, when a personal dispute of some kind broke out.  Shots were fired.  The man died.  The 17-year old girl was injured and taken to the hospital.

From an article:

The gunfire erupted around 8 p.m. in the rear of a house at the corner of Kamloops Street and Telfair Avenue, said Los Angeles police Officer R. Grant of the Foothill Station.
The 19-year-old sustained several gunshot wounds and died at the scene. The girl was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to her right thigh, Grant said.
It was not immediately known if the shooting was gang related and no reliable suspect description was available, Grant said.
The shooting appeared to have stemmed from some type of personal dispute, but not between the two victims, Grant said.
