9-year old girl shot by 12-year old brother while target shooting

A 9-year old Wenatchee, Washington girl was target shooting with her father and 12-year old brother when her brother accidentally shot her in the foot.

From the article:
Kenzie L. Young was treated at the Wenatchee Valley Medical Center, said Sgt. Jerry Moore with the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office. She was shot with 20-gauge bird shot from a Winchester youth shotgun that accidentally discharged while in the hands of her brother, Cooper Young, 12.
Moore did not know how far apart Kenzie and Cooper were when the gun discharged.
The accident happened about a mile from the end of the pavement where the children’s stepfather, Cory L. Clark of East Wenatchee, had set up a clay pigeon launcher, Moore said.
Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
