2-year old Virginia boy finds unsecured, loaded gun and fatally shoots himself

A 2-year old boy found a loaded, unsecured gun in his parents' closet in Hampton, Virginia and shot himself in the head.  His 1-year old and 4-year old siblings were also home at the time, as was his mother.  The boy died from his wound.

From an article:
Police said the boy found the gun in an upstairs bedroom closet. They said the boy’s mother and two siblings – a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old – were home at the time of the shooting.
Authorities said the identity of the victim is being withheld until the family is notified.
Police said they are still investigating the shooting, which happened in the 100 block of Flinton Drive.
Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
