11-year-old Joan Plumb of Casa Grande, Arizona has been pronounced dead after being
unintentionally shot by another child. According at an article:
Deputies arrived on scene, and found 11-year-old Joan Plumb shot accidentally by another juvenile in the home. There were three other children in the home with the girl's father. The children were in the family room of the house when the shooting occurred.
Joan was rushed to Casa Grande Medical Center where she was stabilized for air transport to the trauma center at Phoenix Children's Hospital. At 10:54 p.m. the doctors pronounced the girl deceased.

Based upon initial interviews and evidence detectives have determined the shooting appears to have been an accidental discharged of the gun while being handled by a juvenile.

The case will be submitted to the Pinal County Attorney's Office for review.
Joan's obituary.

Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
