Sgt. Cindi West says deputies responded Tuesday after a call from Kentlake High School officials. Deputies found that a 16-year-old with a gun in his backpack reportedly got the weapon from a 17-year-old. West says the 17-year-old told officers he took the gun from his aunt's house in Eastern Washington — without her knowledge — when he visited recently.Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
