2-year old Kentucky boy shot by 4-year old cousin

A 4-year old child in Lexington, Kentucky, was able to access a loaded, unsecured handgun and shoot his 2-year old male cousin.

A man was taken into custody, presumably the gun owner, for concealing the weapon and trying to remove the gun from the scene.

From an article:

The 2-year-old boy who was shot by his 4-year-old cousin on Devonport Drive is expected to make a full recovery.
It happened Saturday night in Lexington at an apartment. Police say the child did not have any serious injuries from the shooting.
The man arrested at the scene was 19-year-old Lavonne Myron Smith. Smith is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and tampering with evidence for trying to take the gun from the scene.

Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
