17-year old Pennsylvania girl shot in head by 17-year old boy in drug deal

Shooter Dominique Smith, age 17
Four teens were in a car in Coolbaugh Township, Pennsylvania, expecting to buy marijuana from a 17-year old boy, Dominique Smith.  The drug deal for a $30 bag of marijuana fell through, and one of the four teens, a 17-year old girl, was shot in the head by the seller.

Smith fled the scene, with his 16-year old pregnant girlfriend driving, but both were captured by police.
Smith was selling the drugs for another 17-year old boy.

The victim is apparently still alive.

From an article:
At the parking lot, police found a 17-year-old Albrightsville girl, who was not identified, slumped over in the front seat of a car with a gunshot wound to the back of her head. She was taken to Pocono Medical Center and then transferred to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.
Four other juveniles were also in the vehicle with the shooting victim and were interviewed at police headquarters. Police learned that the victim and the four others arranged to buy marijuana from an unidentified 17-year-old.
That 17-year-old had Smith deliver the marijuana in the area of Pocono Heights Road near Little Billy Lane in Coolbaugh. The drug deal did not go down and Smith left.
Minutes later, Smith fired at the vehicle and hit the girl.
Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.

UPDATE (8/9/12):  The shooter, 17-year old Dominique Smith, has been captured. From the article:

Police said they pulled over the vehicle, at which point Smith allegedly jumped out of the passenger seat and took off running. An eight-months-pregnant teenage girl who was driving the vehicle drove away as Smith took off running.

She refused police demands to stop but was eventually stopped nearby by another police vehicle and taken into custody, police said.
A manhunt then ensued for Smith in the area around A Pocono Country Place for the next 3½ hours. He was located at about 3:30 p.m. in a wooded area near the APCP welcome center and apprehended. Pocono Mountain Regional Police worked with state police and other law enforcement agencies using search dogs and a helicopter during the manhunt.
The gun used in the shooting had not yet been found, police said.
Smith is being charged as an adult with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
He is at Monroe County Correctional Facility with no bail after being arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Claypool on Thursday evening. Smith entered the hearing wearing pants, socks and no shirt.
The pregnant female, who police said lives with Smith at his mother's residence, will be charged in the juvenile court system with hindering apprehension, fleeing and eluding police and escape.
