10-year old Oklahoma girl shot by 14-year old boy relative

A 10-year old girl in Norman, Oklahoma was shot in the head by a 14-year old boy related to her.

From the article:
The girl, whose name has not been released because she is a minor, suffered a gunshot wound to the head from a .22 caliber bullet. She remains in critical condition after surgery at OU Medical Center, according to hospital employees.
Police have identified the person who fired the shot as a 14-year-old male relative of the girl.
According to another article, police suspect this is an unintentional shooting.

The shooting happened at a home in rural southeast Norman where the girl was staying as a guest. 
Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
