12-year old Oklahoma girl accidentally shot in belly by 11-year old sibling

A 12-year old girl in Noble, Oklahoma was shot in the stomach by her 11-year old sibling when they played with a loaded, unsecured rifle with no parents home.

From the article:
McCormick says over the weekend five neighborhood kids, all 14 years and younger, were playing in the yard when one went inside to fetch a firearm.
"The 12 year old pulled a .22 caliber rifle from under his mom's bed and took it outside to show the group of children at the house," McCormick said.
Once outside with the rifle, the 12 year old attempted to clear the weapon by pulling out the magazine.
The kid then handed the rifle to an 11 year old.
"The 11 year old put a finger on the trigger and ended up shooting the 12 year old in the abdomen," McCormick said.
The good news, the victim is expected to be OK.
Law enforcement says the shooting is a reminder to parents everywhere.
"Secure all weapons in the home. Always keep in a secure spot, because kids are gonna be curious," McCormick said.
Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
