4-year old shot in eye with Airsoft gun

A 4-year old boy in Charlotte, North Carolina, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being shot in the eye with an AirSoft pellet gun.

Emergency officials say the child has life-threatening injuries and was transported to Carolinas Medical Center.  The call came in around 4:15 p.m. Sunday after the incident occurred in the 9000 block of Providence Road West.
Officials tell NewsChannel 36 the little boy was shot with an air soft gun just below his eye. 
Police say his mother was rushing him to the hospital when she stopped at the Carolina Volunteer Fire Department to get her son to the emergency room faster.
