From the article:

The fourth-grade student at Ladson Elementary School is charged with 6 counts of third-degree assault and battery and possession of a weapon at school. His name has not been released because of his age.
Sheriff's Maj. Jim Brady says the boy is accused of trying to shoot two other students and pointing the gun at another student. Brady says none of the students was seriously injured.
The shootings Monday were not reported until Tuesday, when the boy brought the gun to school again.
Brady says investigators don't know why the boy shot at the students.
A school district spokesman says the boy is being recommended for expulsion.
