17-year old boy injured while breaking into Tennessee home

A 17-year old boy was shot in the arm by an Ashland City, Tennessee homeowner who discovered the boy breaking in.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the arm early Sunday morning while trying to break into a home on Valley View Road just outside of Ashland City, Cheatham County authorities said.
Detective Travis Walker told The Times that the boy was shot once in the right foreman and he was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.
Walker said the boy was inside a home at 1407 Valley View Rd. near Trouble Road shortly after 3 a.m., and the homeowner thought he heard a noise and that's when he got his gun and shot the teen.
The teen fled the scene and made his way to a nearby home to ask for help.
