Bayan Pony, age 12
A 12-year old boy, Bayan Pony, was playing a video game in his Omaha, Nebraska home when two men apparently tried to break into an apartment above the boy's apartment. They ran down stairs, turned, and fired back at the apartments.

From the article:

"Boom! Boom! Boom! And people were stomping and it sounded like they were having a wrestling fighting," [Bayan's father] said.

His son Bayan Pony and his cousin were at home playing video games. Moments later, bullets weren't just on the television, their whole living room backing a battlefield.
....
The shooting started upstairs when two people tried to break in to the upstairs apartment. The shooters ran down the stairs. But before they took off, they fired five rounds of bullets back at the house.
....
On Saturday morning you could see bullet holes inside the house. The Pony's living was covered. There was even a bullet that flew through 3 walls before ending up in the kitchen.

"Bam, so he was like run, and as he was turning the four other rounds went off and one of them hit him in the leg," Pony said.

The bullet came through wall below the television and hit Bayan right in the leg.

"He didn't realize that he had got shot at that time, when he got to a safer place, that was when he realized he got shot," Pony said, "I couldn't believe it, you know, if I... it was that close, really close. I thank god he was alright."
....

Police say that while they were investigating the shooting they found a marijuana grow operation in an apartment adjoining the house.

James English has been arrested for growing and an intent to sell the drugs. Police are still investigating to see if the drugs and shooting are related.
