16-year old shoots 19-year old in front of police precinct

a 16-year old boy brazenly shot a 19-year old in front of a police precinct in the Bronx, killing the young man.

From the article:

The teenaged shooter opened fire on a 19-year-old man in front of the 46th Precinct stationhouse on Ryer Ave. in University Heights at about 1:45 a.m., the sources said.

An officer standing in the building’s vestibule heard the shots and ran outside, sources said. The cop saw the victim lying on the ground with wounds to his back, chest and abdomen, sources said.

He then spotted the shooter running away from the scene. The officer used his radio to put out a description of the gunman, who was nabbed nearby, sources said.

A .38-caliber pistol was also recovered, sources said.

The victim — who sources said may have had an ongoing beef with the shooter — was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
