2-year old girl shot in head when playing with gun

A 2-year old Gary, Illinois girl, Jariah Henderson, was playing with another child and came across a loaded, unsecured .22-caliber handgun. The gun discharged, shooting the 2-year old in the head.

According to THIS follow-up article, the girl eventually died from the wound. From that article:
[Gary Police Cpl. Gabrielle King] said the 2-year-old was playing with another child under the age of ten in a bedroom inside the home and a 16-year-old was sleeping in the bed when the .22 caliber handgun discharged.

The gun had been under a television in the bedroom
Her organs were donated to help up to 7 other children, according to THIS news footage.

Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
