Carols "Los" Cruz, Jr., age 17
A Youngstown, Ohio boy, 17-year-old Carols "Los" Cruz Jr., was found shot to death outside a party in the early morning hours. He was shot multiple times.

From the article:

Witnesses told police there was a large party at one of the apartments in the complex, and that Cruz was walking toward another apartment when he was shot.
Witnesses told police they heard several shouts and screaming, Milstead said.
The first officers who arrived found Cruz face-down. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
...
Milstead said Cruz has been arrested several times in the past, including once for felonious assault.
Cruz turned 17 two weeks ago.
From another article:

[The boy's mother] Sparkle Johnson said, to her knowledge, her son didn't have any enemies and everyone loved him. Now, his family is remembering Carlos as jokester, someone who could always make them laugh.
....
His mother is baffled by what could have prompted such violence. Johnson said her son didn't have any enemies that she knew of, and he wasn't involved in any trouble. She just wants justice for her son.

"I don't have any clues. You know, there's a lot of rumors floating around," said Johnson.
"Youngstown is starting to be a hard city to raise a young black male in."
