16-year old St. Petersburg boy shot in face in drive-by

A 16-year old boy and a friend were sitting on the porch of his home when a car drove up and fired at them.

The unidentified victim was sitting on his front porch with another juvenile, when multiple gunshots were fired from a sedan that pulled in front of the house and then sped off, heading east.

The incident took place at around 9:30 p.m. Friday at 1201 10th Ave. S.

The 16-year-old victim was shot once in the face, said police. He is in serious but stable condition tonight at Bayfront Medical Center. The other juvenile was not injured.
