17-year old killed by another 17-year old during botched robbery

From the article:

A Cleveland teenager was charged Friday with delinquency through the aggravated murder of 17-year-old Charles Wilson, of Cleveland, and the attempted aggravated murder of 20-year-old Frederick Burt, of Cleveland.

He was also charged with tampering with evidence. He was taken to the county’s juvenile detention facility.

Wilson and Burt had both attempted to rob the shooters home. But then the shooter and others in the home apparently tried to cover it up, and may have other problems with the law.

“It went bad for the robbers,” [Lakewood Police Chief] Malley said. “Then it went bad it bad for everyone else involved here because nobody else could tell the truth. They all panicked. There’s this sort of street mentality. They don’t want to tell the truth when presented with the facts.”

He said police are continuing the investigation, and more charges may be filled against additional suspects.
