5-year old boy finds gun and shoots 6-year old girl in leg

The youngsters were part of a group that went to a man’s house in the 1500 block of Houston Street on Sunday to watch a football game, Levy said. The children were playing in the house when a 5-year-old boy found the gun under a bed and shot the 6-year-old girl in the right leg, he said.

“The man who owns the gun has no children,” he said.

Police have ruled the shooting an accident, Levy said. 

Too bad the parents didn't ask about guns where their children were visiting.

Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
