10-year old Georgia boy shot while playing in yard

A 10-year old boy in Georgia was playing in his yard when he was apparently shot by a stray bullet.

From the article:

The shooting happened on Saturday outside a home on Caldwell Road in Spalding County.

“The father stated that his son was playing outside when he came into the residence and told his father that he thought he had been shot,” Sheriff Wendell Beam said. “The father looked at the injury and rushed his son to the hospital.”

The boy was treated and released from Spalding Regional Medical Center that same day.

It is currently unknown who fired the bullet or even from which direction. No one was apparently the area when it happened. It appears to be a stray bullet from a great distance.

Bullets don't know when to stop.
