13-year old boy shot twice in head waits three days to go to hospital

A 13-year old Cedar Rapids, Iowa, boy took out the trash on New Year's day when he heard gunshots. He went back inside, and only then realized he'd been shot in the head.

However, his mother was out of town, and he waited for her to return, three days later, before telling her and being sent to the hospital! He'd been shot twice on the left side of his head. He was treated and released.

Is this another case of celebratory gunfire hitting someone?

Bullets don't know when to stop.
