A 17-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed himself in his East Side Saginaw home early this morning, police say.
After twice shooting multiple rounds from a revolver outside to celebrate the new year, Travon E. Price and his 18-year-old brother returned inside their home at 521 N. Warren between Carlisle and Carroll, said Saginaw Police Detective Sgt. Joseph Dutoi.
Price continued "playing with the gun," which he didn't think was loaded, Dutoi said. The gun discharged, and a bullet struck Price in the head, Dutoi said.
Every gun in the hands of a child must first go through the hands of an irresponsible adult.
