10-year old Chicago boy shot in leg during botched robbery

A 10 year old boy was shopping at a store with his mother when a man tried to rob another man outside the store.  A struggle insued, moving into the store, and the robber's gun discharged.  One of the suspects was injured in the leg, and a bullet or bullet fragment also injured the boy.

From the article:
A 10-year-old boy, who was a customer at the store, was grazed in the leg either by a bullet or a bullet fragment when the gun went off, police said. He fled, but his mother later took him to an area hospital for treatment of the minor wound.
The injured suspect was arrested at the scene and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Gaines said. Charges against him are pending.
The second suspect took off and is not in custody early Monday, police said.
