Ohio mother and one year old shot by child's father

This Ohio shooting is another tragic shooting of a baby. And it also highlights once more that easy access to guns by people who should not have them leads to senseless and avoidable shootings. From the article:

Lorde was described as a violent sexual predator with outstanding felony warrants in New York in an Amber Alert for Jackson and her daughter. A phone number for his last known address, in Cleveland, could not be found.

Also, from the article is a description of the events that led to the deadly shooting leaving 3 people dead:

A wanted man kidnapped his estranged girlfriend at gunpoint along with her 1-year-old she was pushing in a stroller, Cleveland police said Sunday, and all three were found shot to death hours later.

Police said the couple had dated for about two months and that the woman, Latasha Jackson, 19, was trying to end the relationship.

The most dangerous time for a woman is when she is trying to leave a relationship. Often other family members or friends also become victims. Things like this just shouldn't happen. But they continue every day in America.
