14-year old boy shot in Riverside, California

14-year old Lareanz Simmons was in front of his grandmother's home in Riverside, California when a tan vehicle pulled up, a male gunman got out and shot Lareanz before fleeing.  He has now passed away

Simmons is a Riverside Poly High School freshman who is in the ROTC program, according to neighbors.
"He was always happy at school," says Alexandra Lopez, 17, a neighbor and fellow Poly student. "He would go up to random people. He was just a very happy person."
Students, neighbors said, plan to wear black and blue at school on Friday as a tribute. Blue is Simmons' favorite color.

"He always put a smile on everyone's face, just with his smile, with his personality. Everyone knew him, he touched everyone's heart," said friend Fernando Martinez.
Simmons was in the junior ROTC program at Poly High. People say it was one of his dreams to go into the armed forces.
