14-year old boy shot in shoulder in Tampa

A 14-year old boy in Tampa, Florida was wounded in gunfire.

Paramedics rushed a 14-year-old boy to a local hospital after he was shot late Wednesday evening, according to Tampa Fire Rescue.
The boy, whose name was not released, was found wounded his left shoulder about 8 p.m. when Tampa police responded to a call about shots being fired at 5500 N Himes Ave., near the Courtney Cove Apartments.
He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment. Police said he was expected to survive.
Police were classifying the crime as an aggravated battery.
