17-year old Indiana boy caught with rifle in his car at school

A 17-year old Bloomington, Indiana boy was caught with an unloaded .22-caliber rifle in his car.

From the article:
Bloomington police Sgt. Steve Kellams says school officials found the unloaded rifle in the student's car Tuesday morning after overhearing students talking about a possible gun in a classmate's car.

Kellams says the teen says he went target shooting the night before and spent the night at a friend's house before heading to school. He says he forgot that the .22 caliber rifle was in his car.
Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
