16-year old Sacramento boy injured in head when he and friend played with gun

Two 16-year old boys were playing with a gun at a home in Sacramento, California when the gun was discharged, injuring one boy in the head.

From the article:
A bullet grazed the head of a 16-year-old boy as he and his friend were playing around with a gun around 10 a.m. Monday, say Sacramento police.

The injured youth was taken to an area hospital by his family. He suffered a very minor injury, Officer Laura Peck said.
The other 16 year old was arrested for the negligent discharge of a firearm.
Police did not know if parents were home at the time. The incident took place on the 100 block of Fairbanks Avenue. Hospital personnel informed police.
Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
