15-year old Jamonta Miles shot and killed in Lousiana, another 17-year old injured

Jamonta Miles, age 15
Eighth grader Jamonta Miles, age 15, was shot in the head and killed during an argument in Raceland, Louisiana, while sitting in a car. Another passenger, Ijah Baptiste, age 17, was injured with a gunshot to the left elbow.

Miles and Baptiste, also of Thibodaux, were in a GMC Yukon with five other male teens about 11:30 p.m. when they got into a verbal argument with a man at Market and Fifth streets, officials said.

After words were exchanged, the man, who is still unidentified, pulled out a gun and fired several shots at them, police said.

Jamonta's aunt made a YouTube tribute video for him, which you can find HERE (explicit lyrics).

UPDATE (1/5/12): Arrests made on gang charges which led to the shooting, but the shooter is still at large (HERE).
