16-year old Stockton boy found shot in apparent accident

A 16-year old Stockton, California boy, Christopher Joseph Solar, was found dead, shot in the head, in what appears to be an accidental shooting in a home.

Shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday, Stockton police officers responded to a call that the 16-year-old victim had been shot in the head inside a home in the 400 block of East Bianchi Road. The victim was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph's Medical Center and later died from his injuries.
Police said several people at the scene of the shooting were questioned, but no arrests were made.
"We're not considering it a homicide yet," Jernigan said. "If the autopsy says something different, that could change. It looks like it's probably going to end up (as) an accidental shooting."
Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
