Sixth grade boy brings gun to school in bookbag

A sixth-grader in Plain, Ohio, was caught with a gun in his bookbag.

From the article:

A sixth-grade boy was arrested Monday and charged with brining a loaded gun into Glenwood Intermediate School.

Plain Local School Superintendent Brent May said the boy didn’t ride the bus Monday, nor did he ever take the gun out of his bookbag or show it to anyone.

May said officials received a tip “that somebody had something,” and after investigation, isolated and searched the boy.

The boy was immediately suspended and May said he will recommend the boy be expelled.

Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
