Three girls shot and threatened by two boys with Airsoft guns

Three girls, ages 8, 10, and 11, were playing in the woods in Rock Hill, South Carolina were shot and threatened by two boys, ages 11 and 13, with Airsoft pellet guns.

The three girls, aged 11, 10 and 8, were playing in a wooded area near Patriot Parkway Monday afternoon when two boys shot them with an air-soft pistol, according to a Rock Hill police report.
All three girls were shot in the leg. One of the girls said a boy made her get on the ground and held the gun to her head, although he did not shoot, the report states. 
Officers made contact with one of the boys' mothers, who said she had thrown the guns away, the report states. They found the guns and put them into evidence. 
The boys told officers they were in the woods shooting their guns at squirrels and did not shoot the victims, the report states. However, the girls had visible welts on their legs.
